Teaching IS one of the most rewarding professions out there. I don't have quite as much experience as you do swink, but I taught Violin to children at the Salvation Army for about a year. I must say, even though it was difficult at times, it was extremely rewarding.

Another thing that I've found out, is that teaching isn't for everyone. Regardless of how much a person knows about their subject, they just have the hardest time giving that knowledge to others. Some people can't handle the pressures/responsibilities too. Sadly there are a few teachers at AIPX that really can't teach. They know their stuff, but when it comes to teaching what they know they fall short.

I haven't read the full article yet, but I just wanna say that you are one of the best teachers I've ever had. Me and DiCo has this talk the other day - you are one of the smartest people I've ever met and you have an enthusiasm that rivals that of a porn star when it comes to your job. While DiCo is the type of teacher I'd ask for a realistic opinion, you are the teacher I'd ask to have a parent-teacher conference with my mom and dad. You've turned game design into a science and really have made me think about what that term entails. For this, I am eternally greatful because it has taught me a lot. Also, because of you, I myself have considered teaching. I know a lot about Source and if there was someone at the school to teach it, life would be easier for me. As such, I feel like one day I can make life easier for someone in my shoes. Thanks. On to reading...
