Tune Project Update #7

A small update:

Fixed bugs
Added arrows that point at remaining enemies
Reverted to earlier control mechanic; eyeballs were adding too much dampening – have a fix for this on deck but need to implement
Added a temporary background track (Brian Eno)
Fiddled with sound, put sound architecture in place

    That was incredibly enjoyable.

It was interesting (the concept is certainly novel!). Unfortuantly, the control is a bit wonky and feels too loose at times, I had difficulty getting it where I wanted to go, though it’s obviously a tenent of the game that you ‘fix’ it so you can play properly.

I’ll give it another go, why not?

Hi, Steve! The idea behind Tune is great. I also liked Crawlers very much. Though i found the GUI to be frustrating. It takes too much place onscreen and too much efforts to deal with.

I suggest doing the following: 1.Remove the separate “sliders”, just make each parameter has a title and a slider below it. 2.Make the sliders take less space (at least spacing could be easily reduced). 3.Stack the parameters at left side, where their list currently is, but without the gap to the left. And make the titles clickable, so one can expand the parameters currently needed and collapse all the other ones to just their titles. 4.Make the whole parameters panel hideable behind the left edge of the screen in a manner the whole list currently is.

The other frustrating thing is when i release “jump” the plunger :) ) receives an impulse just like i pressed jump, which is unintuitive for my taste.

    Thank you!

Your main character looks just like a Wii controller. Heeee!
