Tune Project Update # 5
So, here’s most everything working the way I want:
If you want this to work, you’ll have to copy this DLL into your C:\Program Files\Virtools Web Player 3.5\buildingblocks directory, overwriting the (broken) one that’s there. This is a known bug, but apparently the fix didn’t make it into the web player version that’s currently available from www.virtools.com. Sad. For me. And everyone.
*Sigh* Oh, Virtools, you push me down the stairs time and again but I always come crawling back to your stern, drunken justice.
Anyhow, I think this is a pretty neat toy to fiddle with as-is. Now to make a game of it!
PS. if you have any great ideas about how to integrate the various variables and sliders into a gameplay progression I’m all, ah, eyes

Very cool demo so far. I only played around for 2 mins and already see lots of potential. I messed around with some of your other versions of this and I definitely see the polish in this. I love the idea of the sliders controlling gravity and jumping, I would say when you turn it into more of a game start by limiting the player to only one slider then unlocking more, I think I heard you mention that was the plan. Anyway, great work so far, I’ve been waiting for those sliders to get incorporated into the game. Cool stuff!
By the way, I haven’t noticed any problems yet and I didn’t add the .dll to my virtools directory although I am running a player from months ago so I guess it is not that new one that was just released.
Well, that’s cool. It’s broken for me here unless I copy that DLL over. *shrug* Maybe they updated and un-fixed it. Ah well, as long as it works.
